What is Endodontics?
Endodontics is a dental specialty dealing with root canals and surgeries relating to root canal work. The root canal specialist is also known as an Endodontist.
Endodontists are dentists with at least two additional years of advanced education and training in root canal techniques and procedures.
All dentists received training in endodontic treatment in dental school. However, some cases can be challenging or extremely difficult. In these situations, many dentists will refer their patients out to endodontists for treatment.
